Advisory Board
Montana Capital Partners’ advisory board consists of renowned thought leaders in the fields of private equity, portfolio management, finance and academia. The advisory board members will support the management team in finding optimized solutions in their specific field of know-how, will evaluate future market trends together with the core team and will bring in their specific knowledge to identify future business activities.
Montana Capital Partners is very honoured to work together with Wanching Ang, Filip Henzler, Prof. Dr. Christoph Kaserer and Dr. Ulrich Niederer as advisory board members.
Wanching Ang
Wanching Ang was Chief Executive of Allianz Private Equity Partners, the private equity investment vehicle of Allianz Group. She was instrumental in building Allianz’ investment activities, sat on Allianz’ investment committee and was on the Advisory Board of several private equity funds. Prior to that, Wanching was with Apax Partners in the United Kingdom working on buyout investments and before that at UBS Warburg in Corporate Finance on transactions in the Consumer Goods Sector. She started her career with the Development Bank of Singapore in corporate banking.
Wanching holds a BA from the University of Oxford in Philosophy, Politics and Economics and an MBA from INSEAD.
Filip Henzler
Filip Henzler founded the M&A advisory and restructuring boutique Trientalis focused on mid cap companies in Germanic countries. Prior to that, Filip was a Managing Director and Head of Structuring at Capital Dynamics. He was instrumental in sourcing, structuring and executing the first securitized transactions in private equity starting in 2000. Filip started his career in M&A Advisory and Corporate Finance for Arthur Andersen and Sal. Oppenheim.
Filip holds a BA in Finance and Management from the University of Zurich.
Prof. Dr. Christoph Kaserer
Prof. Dr. Christoph Kaserer is co-director of the Center for Entrepreneurial and Financial Studies (CEFS) and Full Professor of Finance at the Technical University Munich. His area of expertise is private equity, asset management, corporate finance and financial markets. Christoph is an adviser and expert for private and public institutions. He acted as an advisor to the German government on private equity regulation and is the Chairman of the Governing Body of the Private Equity Research Exchange Platform (PEREP) established by the European Venture Capital Association (EVCA). On behalf of the Deutsche Börse he developed several indexes. He is among the top 100 worldwide downloaded authors on the Social Science Research Network (ssrn.com) and he was awarded with the “Innovationspreis der Stiftung Industrieforschung” (together with his colleague Ann-Kristin Achleitner). Before joining TU Munich as a Professor in Finance , Christoph was Professor for Financial Management and Accounting at Université de Fribourg, Switzerland.
He holds a Dr. rer.pol. from the University of Wurzburg and a degree in economics from the University of Vienna.
Dr. Ulrich Niederer
Dr. Ulrich Niederer, born 1947 in Switzerland, is Member of the Advisory Board of Montana Capital Partners. He is currently also Chairman of the UBS Alternative Portfolio AG, member of several pension fund investment committees.
Following his thesis in theoretical physics at Basel University and years of research Ulrich got involved in the quantitative investment research for former Swiss Bank Corporation as quantitative research analyst in 1986. In 1990 he was appointed Co-head of Institutional Asset Management, later Chief Investment Officer Switzerland and Global Head of Structured Investments as well as Head of the Alternative Investment Management Business (including Private Equity, Hedge Funds and Infrastructure). In 2001 Ulrich was appointed Chairman of UBS Global Asset Management Switzerland. He was
a member of the Swiss Stock Exchange’s Index Commission and member of the advisory board of several Swiss Pension Funds, asset managers and venture capitalists.
Ulrich holds a PhD in theoretical physics from the University of Basel.
