Dr. Valentin Chapero Rueda

Dr. Valentin Chapero Rueda is Chairman of Ascom Holding AG and has long-standing experience in leadership positions within the IT, telecommunication, and medical devices industries.

Previously, he was amongst others Industrial Advisor to EQT and board member of Sivantos. He co-founded VERAISON Capital AG, an active engagement investment fund for Swiss small and mid-cap companies and became board member of several of the invested companies. He was also the CEO of Sonova Holding AG (fka Phonak), which he transformed into the world leader in conventional and implantable hearing systems and increased market capitalization by 10x. In the year 2000 he became the President/CEO of Mobile Networks within Siemens AG, a global division with more than EUR 5 billion revenue.

Valentin has Master of Science and PhD degrees in Physics from the University of Heidelberg and completed the Siemens Management Program at Duke University.
