Pak Hoe Soon

Hoe Soon has more than 29 years of experience in private equity and investment banking. He is currently running a private equity boutique focusing on direct private equity investment opportunities in Southeast Asia. He is also an Investment Committee Member of a private equity fund in China and Consultant to a private equity firm based in Singapore.

Until 2012, Hoe Soon was Managing Director, Investments, at Temasek. During his 17-year tenure with Temasek, he led the investment team that was responsible for investments in private equity funds globally and co‐investments. In his earlier years with Temasek, he did direct investments in Southeast Asia and China. Hoe Soon also led a number of unique transactions including structured deals involving private equity portfolios. Prior to joining Temasek in 1995, Hoe Soon worked in the investment banking arms of DBS Bank and Union Bank of Switzerland in Singapore.

Hoe Soon graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) degree and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He has also attended the Stanford Executive Program.
