David Overton

David is a Director at Montana Capital Partners and Head of the New York office.

David previously was a director and Investment Committee member at the private equity fund manager, Newbury Partners. At Newbury, David participated in all aspects of the investment process across secondaries, primaries, and co-investments. Prior to Newbury, David was a senior associate on the secondary investment team at Coller Capital. Before Coller, David was an associate in Merrill Lynch’s Principal Credit Group, where he was responsible for deploying the firm’s capital in high yield and leveraged loan opportunities.

David graduated with an MBA from Harvard Business School and received a BBA from Howard University, where he was business school valedictorian.
