Dr. Stefanie Gey

Stefanie is an experienced financial services sector professional with expertise in legal & compliance, risk & control as well as data protection and talent.

She is also a sustainability entrepreneur, being the Founder & CEO of DrivingWhatMatters4ESG (DWM4ESG), a pioneering entity dedicated to shedding light on the millions of Solutions in the ‘E’, ‘S’ or ‘G’ sphere to help accelerate the 17 UN SDG. Before establishing DWM4ESG, Stefanie spent over a decade at Ernst & Young AG (EY), with different leadership responsibilities ranging from Regional Managing Partner Talent to Head Insurance Legal, Regulatory & Compliance and Global Insurance Law Leader. Her influence extended to further executive roles, including regional Data Protection & Privacy Leader for Germany, Switzerland & Austria (GSA) and Member of the Regional Consulting Executive Team. Prior to EY, Stefanie had different leadership functions in the financial services sector for almost a decade

Stefanie holds a PhD in jurisprudence from the University of Bern, following prior university law degrees in Switzerland and Germany. She is Co-Author of the Swiss Insurance Supervisory Law commentary (Basler Kommentar) and other financial services publications.
